Adriana was my favorite character last season (besides Silver before they skewered her) and knowing she'll be in a relationship with Token Gay Girl... SOLD. I watched The O.C. for the 8 episodes of the lesbian arc. I agree that she'd be a bit young, though that would make Mariska Hargitay work as an older Maggie with the younger Kate. I agree with you that Maggie should be a bit older than Kate (even though she's really not drawn that way).

The problem is that Maggie should be younger than Gordon but older than Kate. So maybe early-forties (too young for Helen Mirren/Glenn Close) and that's one of those hard-to-cast ages for women. (Stupid Hollywood). Though, again, if Mariska Hargitay could sort of cut her hair and bulk up again, she'd work.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02405019346861244737noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-489915595496337926.post-67479993755656300702009-10-31T11:05:49.902-04:002009-10-31T11:05:49.902-04:00Kate Kane/Batwoman: Rumer Willis. Hear me out... I...Kate Kane/Batwoman: Rumer Willis. Hear me out... I honestly don't know if the girl can act or not, but I think she can look the part (http://bit.ly/4lY5Vl). She just needs to work out a bit -- kind of like her mom in G.I. Jane. the only problem I see is that she's a bit younger than the other actors & that throws things off. I also think Scarlett Johansen could have done a good job, but now that she's been cast as Natasha/Black Widow she's "taken".

Renee Montoya/The Question: Sarah Shahi OHGODYESYESYESPLEASEGODYES

Maggie Sawyer: This is the hardest role to cast for me. I see her as being at least 10-15 years older than Kate (even though that might now be the case in the Detective series). I see her as a young Glenn Close/Helen Mirren type. I have to think on this one somemore.Nikkihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00436813521543412841noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-489915595496337926.post-74213559425124439732009-10-31T10:09:59.308-04:002009-10-31T10:09:59.308-04:00@K.D. - YES. (Daniel Lewis, I think, wouldn't make a half-bad Vic Sage. I sort of wonder what those writers are fans of. Ahem.)

I've never seen Junebug. I'll throw it on my Netflix queue. I'm a huge fan of hers, and find her awesome in pretty much everything I've ever seen her in, but I know she's typecast as more cutesy. I'm sort of torn, too, but lean towards Christina Hendricks because 1) she seems a bit older/wiser and 2) I'd love to see her in a headlining action role. That would be amazing.

No, believe me, I don't find you shallow AT ALL. ;)

@Saranga - Amy Adams is pretty big over here. She's sort of typecast as cute-and-small-but-feisty, but has also played more serious roles, so it's possible. But, yeah, I think I like Christina Hendricks for the spot. Thanks on Renee. Like I said above, as soon as Life came out, I knew immediately.

@marfisa - Oh, I know. I just think that would be a good arc for them to make a movie out of. It could be WW2 (if WW1 ends with the killing Max Lord) and would never ever ever happen, because the movie industry sucks and the DC comics movie department doubly so. :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02405019346861244737noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-489915595496337926.post-41536684979754178872009-10-31T09:49:20.832-04:002009-10-31T09:49:20.832-04:00Kate Spencer actually did defend Wonder Woman (on ...Kate Spencer actually did defend Wonder Woman (on federal charges related to her killing the mind-controlling Max Lord in semi-self-defense) in one of the later story arcs of Manhunter's own title.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-489915595496337926.post-78755181727621327012009-10-31T07:52:20.492-04:002009-10-31T07:52:20.492-04:00I don't knwow Amy Adams but I did love Saffron...I don't knwow Amy Adams but I did love Saffron in Firefly so Christina Hendricks works for me.

Your Renee choice looks perfect.

Can't really comment on the others as I've stopped reading the book.Sarangahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03545162612237984546noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-489915595496337926.post-59153142238703259812009-10-31T05:56:06.429-04:002009-10-31T05:56:06.429-04:00Sarah Shahi = VERY YES.
